Revises UBP STD Letter

You are receiving this email because you have a Transamerica Short Term Disability policy.  Payroll deductions for your TWU-sponsored voluntary benefit ended beginning January 1, 2020. The Transamerica disability policy does not allow for portability. All members who have a Transamerica Short Term Disability policy will now be converted to the group Hartford policy effective March 1, 2020.

Previously, your premiums for TWU-sponsored voluntary benefits were deducted from your paycheck.
In order to begin Short Term Disability benefits sponsored by the TWU, please convert your premium deduction method from your current payroll deduction to direct deposit in JetNet. To avoid any lapse in coverage, you will need to enter the attached payment information no later than March 15, 2020.

Attached is important information you will need to continue your coverage. Please follow the steps (page 1) to enter your new total premium, checking account information (provided on page 2) into a new JetNet direct deposit window. If you do nothing, the coverage will end.  Again, if you do nothing, you will no longer continue STD coverage.
