TWU Local 501 – Update

Brothers & Sisters,

President Gonzalez who is on vacation this week has requested that I as the acting President provide an update/communication to our membership. Besides our general order of business this month, the benefits enrollment period along with the voluntary benefit changes brought additional challenges for us to overcome.

On October 30, 2019 at 5 PM at NYC 2 Broadway, TWU Local 100 will be holding a Contract Rally which our Executive Board encourages our members support. As for Negotiations, our Executive Boards position is that our members not listen to rumors or fake news on social media. If our members want the most accurate Negotiating information it must come from the Association or from your TWU Local 501 President or Officers.

Our October TWU Local 501 membership meetings were all concluded last week for JFK, LGA and SJU. A Special meeting for us at TWU Local 501 was conducting our 1st Re-staffed Philadelphia membership meeting also.

Should our members have any Union questions or issues or require representation on the job, do not hesitate to contact your Local leadership as we are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.
