The Association Mechanic & Related/Stores and Fleet Service Negotiating Committees met with American Airlines in Dallas the week of February 20, 2017.

Mechanic & Related Stores Update

During this week’s session, the Committee discussed the following Articles:

Classifications: We continued to work on this proposal for M&R, MLS, and MCT for a response to the company. Sub-Committee members from the QA, Planners, and Tech Document Specialists met the week of February 13, and they prepared a document for their sections in Classification, which was given to the Association Mechanic & Related/Stores Negotiating Committee.

Qualifications (M&R): We received a pass from the Company, and are working on a response.

Another session has passed without receiving closure from the Company regarding the following Articles: Overtime, Vacation, and Holidays.

Fleet Service Update

This week the Association received the following counter proposals:

  • Hours of Work – upon receipt we studied the company’s proposal at length and formulated our detailed response

The Association worked on the following proposals to the company to pass in the upcoming session:

  • Hours of Work
  • Reduction in Force
  • Overtime

Our next negotiating session is scheduled for the week of March 6 in Dallas.
